Deanna Hamilton of Anoka, went to the Second Annual Kottke’s/ Free2B! Classic Car Show in Andover and left with her own 1998 Hyundai. Kottke’s/ Free2B! Classic Car Show brought in 56 cars for the show and many door prizes, but Deanna received a donated car from Free2B! and it became one of the day’s highlights. The car was repaired by Ultra Tech in Coon Rapids, with no labor cost to Free2B! as a One-a-Month repair shop. City Auto Glass did a last minute free chip repair on the windshield before the car was donated. Deanna brought her mother and two daughters, Kaitlin and Nevaeh, to be part of the celebration.
Chub Troester of Kottke’s Tire and Auto Services and Jim Huff of Achieve Services co-chaired the Classic Car Show and Lori Anderson, owner of L.A. Design, organized and ran the Coon Rapids Food Booth. After expenses, nearly $1,000 was given to Free2B!, which is enough to fix four cars for families in the community.
Special thanks goes to the organizers, the many door prize contributors, the judges, and all who helped make the event special, not only for Deanna, but also for Free2B! so it can continue restoring hope, one car at a time.
